originally specified with marble, we were to manufacture the façade of the residence, with an impeccable shine and finish. we suggested gfrc (glass fiber reinforced concrete) as the material for its lightweight advantages and plasticity would give us the complex shapes we were seeking. the key in this project was the finish of the molds; this would guarantee us the shine that was required in the final pieces. the gfrc pieces were manufactured kilometers away from the residence, the precision needed to join onsite was achieved by digital fabrication.
